Meet Lynne Kenney

Psychology

As a pediatric psychologist for 12 years, Lynne M. Kenney, Psy.D, has helped families solve the challenges of childhood. Dr. Kenney is currently a consulting psychologist with North Scottsdale Pediatrics in Arizona where she works on a multi-disciplinary pediatric team coaching families to live with health and wellness.

Dr. Kenney earned her Doctorate in Psychology from Pepperdine University in 1992. She has advanced fellowship training in forensic psychology and developmental pediatric psychology from Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School and Harbor-UCLA Medical Center/UCLA Medical School.

Her practicing philosophy emphasizes parental education through digital media platforms such as radio, television, and online communities, which is why she started The Family Coach, a multimedia franchise focused on improving family life.

Family Coaching

After 20 year in psychology, Dr. Kenney has learned that it is best to go to where the problem lives in order to solve it. So you'll find her on the tennis court, in the recreation room, at the breakfast table and in the local diner practicing social skills, frustration management skills, manners, discipline and love with families.

Production

Lynne is one of the few psychologists nationwide who writes, produces and directs short-format television content designed to improve the lives of families. Since 2004 she has created three television shows, written over 120 scripts, executive produced twelve educational content wrap segments, created 100 podcasts, hosted three live webcasts, and developed seven videos.

While Lynne's favorite place to be is behind the scenes writing scripts, planning productions, coaching talent and co-directing, she is often asked to serve as on-air talent as she delivers content with trustworthy ease.

Cause-Related Caring

As a cause-related psychologist Dr. Kenney was the Ambassador for The National Head Start Association in 2007 raising public awareness to support education for young children www.nhsa.org.

Currently Lynne supports: a) music, math and science education for all, b) early intervention for young children, and c) the unique contributions of women to the Arts and Sciences.

Family Life

As the mother of two children, Dr. Kenney values the contributions of parents in guiding their children's lives. She loves to cook, swim, ride horses, learn, laugh and read with her husband and children.
